As an EHS Senior Specialist for the platforms Integrated Biologics and Specialized Modalities at Lonza AG, you are responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards in your area of operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The EHS Senior Specialist is the primary point of contact for all EHS matters in day-to-day operations and ensures that the company can manufacture its products in a safe and sustainable environment.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

- Acts as point of contact for EHS topics and supports the allocated operational unit(s) in achieving compliance with EHS regulations
- Provides support for EHS risk assessments
- Performs EHS assessment and approval of Technical Change Requests
- Participates in and provides subject matter expertise during Safety Gemba Walks, audits and other walkthroughs
- Facilitates execution and documentation of EHS incident investigations
- Supports the business with EHS CAPA & EHS KPI definition and tracking
- Collaborates closely with the Safety Coaches from the allocated operational unit(s) as part of the implementation of EHS initiatives
- Conducts training and/or instruction on EHS topics

Key requirements:

•      Certification as a Safety Specialist (EKAS or ASGS)

•      Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent.

•      Fluent English and German language skills, both written and spoken.

•      Collaboration: Works in partnership as an active member of his/her team and cross-functional working groups

•      Business acumen: Uses knowledge of his/her own business area and related areas to identify and develop safety improvements

•      Driving Results: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ensures delivery excellence for own goals and those of his/her team

•      Leadership: Takes personal accountability for outcomes resulting from choices and behaviors of self and team Supports others in taking responsibility for a safe and sustainable environment
