About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our established Banking and Capital markets tax team, with a pathway to progress their career further. Based within PwC’s market leading Financial Services Tax team, this role calls for someone with a broad set of skills and as a Senior Associate you will work as part of a team to provide excellent quality services to a high-profile portfolio of both UK and multinational clients.

You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills, drive your ambition and work with experienced Partners, Directors and Senior Managers across the team. The team provides a full suite of tax advisory, deals, audit and compliance services to clients across the banking and capital and markets sector covering banking, asset financing, FinTech, brokerage and proprietary trading.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your tax technical and client delivery skills in a diverse, stimulating and high performing environment.

What your days will look like

- Supporting a portfolio of Financial Services clients, leading on direct tax advisory and compliance matters while supporting Managers and Senior Managers
- Providing strategic solutions to complex insurance tax challenges, leveraging analytical skills and coordinating input from global specialists
- Driving client growth and business development, identifying new opportunities and strengthening relationships across the banking market
- Utilising your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment
- Collaborating with a group of corporate tax specialists

This role is for you if:

- You have proven experience in UK Corporate Tax, with the ability to deliver high-quality work and manage complex client portfolios and projects
- You have strong analytical skills and a flexible approach, combined with the ability to work as part of client team and an eagerness to learn
- You have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- You have experience of project managing and delegating work within a team context
- Financial Services direct tax experience would be helpful but is not essential, as long as you bring a solid foundation in Corporate Tax and a willingness to learn
