Job Overview

The Patient Service Center Coordinator I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling medical and dental appointments. The Coordinator answers incoming calls, assists with patient registration, verifies demographic and insurance information, and routes calls to the appropriate departments. The Coordinator supports daily call center operations by monitoring patient call flow, assisting with appointment confirmations, and communicating routine clinic updates. The Coordinator I serves as a resource to patients by providing accurate information regarding AltaMed services and promoting preventive health initiatives. Lastly, the Coordinator contributes to a positive patient experience through effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a call center environment or customer service environment required.
- Customer Service experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Compensation

$25.00 - $27.97 hourly
