Moog’s Corporate IT Project Management Office is hiring an Associate Project Manager to support the successful execution of technology and business objectives.
As the Associate Project Manager, you will plan and deliver multiple small to medium projects or defined workstreams within larger initiatives. Assignments typically involve existing technology or limited use of a new platform or tool, affect one or multiple departments, require minimal to moderate process change, include few dependencies or integrations, and are completed within approximately six months. You will own assigned scope with appropriate guidance, coordinate cross-functional delivery, manage schedules, resources, risks, costs, and stakeholder communications, and follow established PMO governance practices.
This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days in-office each week, at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.
To qualify for the Associate Project Manager role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog…
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in project coordination, project management, or Agile delivery, including applicable internships or co-op assignments, with demonstrated ownership of project deliverables, schedules, budgets, or workstreams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills; able to facilitate meetings and drive follow-through.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, engineering) and manage competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, quality, RAID, and change management).
- Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Experience supporting or delivering projects in IT, engineering, manufacturing, or other technology environments.
- Familiarity with Agile, traditional, and hybrid delivery approaches and comfort selecting practices appropriate to the initiative.
- Experience using project and work management tools such as SPM, Project Online, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- CAPM, PMP, CSM, PSM, or similar certification obtained or actively pursued.
As the Associate Project Manager, you will…
- Own assigned project or workstream scope with appropriate guidance, including scope definition, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules, tracking progress against plan and adjusting as needed.
- Manage project costs, resource use, and assigned budget responsibilities for small to medium initiatives.
- Support timely decision-making by preparing options, impacts, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Facilitate project ceremonies and working sessions; create agendas and capture outcomes, decisions, and action items.
- Own clear, consistent status updates for assigned scope, including schedule, scope, costs, risks, issues, and dependencies, for cross-functional teams, project and delivery team members, managers, the PMO, and leadership audiences, with review or support from senior project managers as needed.
- Ensure project artifacts are organized, accessible, and up to date (charters, plans, RAID, status reports).
- Support consistent use of Agile, traditional, and hybrid delivery approaches appropriate to the initiative.
- Contribute to retrospectives/lessons learned and recommend improvements to PMO processes, templates, or tooling.
- Coach or review the work of project coordinators or other delivery roles when assigned.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $100,000.00–$130,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
