Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer operates with a high degree of autonomy, owning the technical design and delivery of significant features across one or more squads. At this level, the engineer is expected to set the technical direction for their area, make sound architectural decisions without requiring manager involvement, and actively raise the capabilities of the engineers around them. The Sr Software Engineer is recognized as a domain expert by peers, drives cross-squad problem-solving, and is accountable for the full lifecycle of their code from design through production health .

Using frameworks like Entity Framework Core, working with li">IDEs li"> such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- li">Implement CI / CD pipeline for automated distribution of applications using Docker, Kubernetes, li">Gitlab CI.
- li">Evaluates and applies AI-assisted development tools ( li">e.g. li"> Claude Code) to improve personal and team productivity; li">establishes li"> team norms for their li">appropriate li"> and responsible use, including awareness of output quality, security implications, and code review standards for AI-generated code
- li">Implements code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others
- li">Is responsible for li"> the entire lifecycle of their code: development, test, production, and li">subsequent li"> fixes and improvements
- li">Independently li">performs li"> code reviews that follow Truckstop's published standards and practices and that are recognized by their team as helpful

Position Requirements
- li">Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering li">, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 6 years in software engineering
- li">Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and software design pattern
- li">Proficient in developing li">responsive web apps using li">HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- li">Solid knowledge of modern front-end JS frameworks and libraries specifically Angular, li">StencilJS
- li">Experience with C#, li">Asp.Net li"> / li">Asp.Net li"> core, Entity framework
- li">Deep functional knowledge or hands on experience working with Web Services such as REST
- li">Experience writing Ad-Hoc SQL queries, Transactional Queries, and Stored Procedures
- li">Experience with TDD and JS testing frameworks li">like Jest / Karma, Protractor/ Cypress / Selenium
- li">Experience using CSS preprocessors such as SASS
- li">Experience integrating apps with RESTful API’s or li">GraphQL
- li">Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud services a plus
- li">Experience with li">API development using li"> Node.js or Asp.net core, AWS lambda, serverless, API Gateway a plus
- li">Collaborates with others across squads to remove impediments and blockers

Additional Information:
Physical Demands:
Minimum physical exertion. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse.
Work Environment:
The working conditions will vary between an office environment and a remote home environment. The ideal protected indoor work environment is a clean, non-hazardous work area. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office or remote home environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
