Job Description

The Enterprise Architecture Product Owner is responsible for managing and evolving the Enterprise Architecture operating model, products, governance processes, work management practices, and knowledge repositories. The role serves as the central coordination point for architecture planning, execution tracking, governance, process maturity, documentation standards, reporting, and continuous improvement. This role requires close collaboration with Enterprise Architects and Technology Leaders to improve adoption of architecture standards, governance processes, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps

The individual drives consistent adoption of architecture processes maintains operational discipline across architecture teams, and drives transparency through effective governance, metrics, Jira management, and executive reporting.

The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership, program management, and Agile delivery expertise with a solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture practices and governance. They are highly organized, process-driven, and experienced in Jira and Confluence administration, Scrum and Kanban methodologies, backlog management, story-point estimation, executive reporting, and documentation governance. The individual will drive operational excellence, process maturity, transparency, and adoption across the Enterprise Architecture function.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the roadmap, backlog, adoption strategy, and operational metrics for Enterprise Architecture products, services, and governance capabilities.
- Define, document, govern, and continuously improve Enterprise Architecture processes, standards, workflows, templates, and operating procedures.
- Serve as the owner of the Enterprise Architecture operating model, ensuring consistent execution of architecture governance, planning, review, and lifecycle management processes.
- Manage architecture work intake, prioritization, planning, capacity management, and execution tracking across the Enterprise Architecture team.
- Act as the Jira and Confluence subject matter expert, administering workflows, automations, dashboards, reporting, templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Drive adoption of Agile delivery practices, including backlog management, story creation, story-point estimation, sprint planning, Kanban flow management, and milestone tracking.
- Establish and maintain architecture documentation standards, architecture artifacts, governance records, and knowledge repositories to ensure information is accurate, current, and accessible.
- Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide visibility into architecture demand, priorities, capacity, risks, dependencies, progress, and business outcomes.
- Facilitate architecture governance forums, architecture reviews, planning sessions, retrospectives, and cross-functional working sessions.
- Drive accountability for maintaining accurate work items, status updates, milestones, architecture artifacts, and governance records within Jira and Confluence.
- Establish and track KPIs, maturity metrics, adoption measures, and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of Enterprise Architecture services and governance practices.
- Prepare executive presentations, leadership communications, governance updates, status reports, and decision-support materials.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled capabilities that enhance architecture planning, governance, reporting, documentation, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 12+ years of overall experience in technology program management, Agile delivery, PMO, delivery management, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Program Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role within a technology organization.
- Strong practical experience with Jira administration, including workflow configuration, automation, dashboards, filters, and reporting.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and driving accountability without direct reporting authority.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and follow-up skills.
- Experience preparing executive dashboards, leadership presentations, status reporting, and decision-support materials.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and operate effectively with senior leaders and architects.
- Broad understanding of enterprise technology domains, including cloud, networking, security, data, platform engineering, and AI, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects across these areas.

Preferred Qualifications

- Working knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and services.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture practices, governance processes, and technology portfolio management.
- Experience with Confluence, Power BI, Jira and similar collaboration and reporting tools.
- Understanding of AI productivity tools and their practical application to workflow automation, reporting, and knowledge management.
- Experience establishing governance routines and operating processes for technology teams.
- Agile, Scrum, Jira, project management, or program management certification.
