We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Manager, Logistics in Lafayette, IN.

Our  Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)  is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

Job Summary:

As the Manager, Logistics , you will lead and oversees logistics and distribution operations across multiple facilities and value streams, driving efficiency, performance, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

- Designs and optimizes logistics plans and processes to meet internal partner needs while ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Leads and develops a team of section managers and frontline leaders to effectively execute logistics activities and achieve operational objectives.
- Develops and maintains systems and metrics to monitor safety, quality, velocity, and cost performance, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

- Data Gathering & Analysis : Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous leader of leaders
- Distribution Center Management : Knowledge of distribution center management; ability to operate a warehouse or distribution center that handles the flow of goods from supplier to production to customer.
- Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
- Project Management : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
