What the role is about:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, energetic and detail-oriented candidate for this exciting new role. The ideal candidate will be driven, organized, and innovative, with a strong ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere. The Production Technician-2 roles will work closely with our Production and Quality departments to maintain proper functionality of automation equipment, batch management as well as assisting in furthering our quality initiatives via data collection. The scope of this title encompasses multiple areas within manufacturing, including the cure room, dry rooms, and automation equipment, and responsibilities will vary throughout the day based on business needs.

What impact you'll make:

- Facilitate the digital and physical movement of harvest material from the Cultivation License to the Manufacturing License in the seed-to-sale and ERP systems, and verify weight after the movement
- Operate irradiation equipment as needed, and enter, update, and maintain the RAD Log Spreadsheet
- Operate the water activity meter and monitor moisture readings throughout drying and curing, recording all readings in tracking spreadsheets for real-time analysis
- Communicate drying trends and plant processing readiness to the Post-Harvest Team Lead and Supervisor
- Perform curing procedures on bulk cannabis flower totes after trimming, including burping totes based on monitored moisture levels.
- Prepare compliance samples for third-party lab testing.
- Safely operate all automation equipment, including flower packing automation, auto labeling equipment, and trim machines
- Prepare batches of packaging, labeling, and work orders scheduled for processing, including flower to be packaged via automation
- Monitor automation output hourly to maintain throughput and attainment to target, and work with leadership to resolve equipment failures in a timely manner
- Accurately document batch weights used and final counts of finished goods
- Clean, store, and maintain equipment, and keep an organized, safe, clean, and orderly workstation, including the Cure Room
- Follow detailed directives of department supervisors and managers
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and teamwork
- Assist with Production Technician 1 duties as the needs of the business require, including operating small-scale packaging equipment such as scales, heat sealers, labelers, grinders, and pre-roll filling machines; weighing, labeling, hand filling, and sealing cannabis products and by-products; and assisting Post-Harvest with cutdown, bucking, trimming, and sorting of dried material
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role

What you've accomplished:

- Strong organizational, tracking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage time effectively, stay on task, and meet performance and quality expectations
- Adaptability and openness to change throughout the workday
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and respond constructively to feedback from leadership
- Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance
- Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, execution, and teamwork
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams
