Description
As Career Technical Education Facilitator, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing career-based intervention programs to support students in their transition from school to the workforce or further education. Your main goal will be to give guidance, support, and resources to CTE, ensuring the program's successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
Understanding academic and career pathway through high school – including opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials and postsecondary course credit available through the CTE programs?
Monitor and track all students enrolled in CTE programs including enrollment attendance, and successful?? completion. Ensure all data is updated in QuickBase under the credentialing tab.??
Ensure all scholars have identified their career pathways through informed decisions.?
Organize and conduct Boot camps include resume writing, soft skills training, interview preparation, etc…?
Organizing and conducting Career Development workshops with the scholars.?
Developing a digitized passport system for scholars to access post-secondary.?
Assist CTE Curriculum Development and Implementation; Curriculum development must include student checklist and rubrics. This development will be signed off by the CTE director, school directors, and superintendents.????
Complete bi-weekly job site visits??
Managing Credential enrollment Tab and CTE Tab in QuickBase; Assist with building out reports to manage the needs of the scholar.?
Documentation on career advising proved for review by these scholars, scholars’ parents, guardian or custodian, and schools the scholar may attend in the future.??
Document the following recordkeeping of current CBI students.???
- Employment Verification??
- OhioMeansJobs Backpack activity??
- Graduation Seals (successful completion of the OMJ seals documentation)?
Organize and hold four (4) CBI advisory board meetings in a school year. Provide meeting notes, agenda, and implementation plans.??
Career related learning experiences to students.?
?Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and businesses to create work-based learning experiences for students.
Stay informed about current trends and best practices in career development and workforce readiness.
Work closely with the CTE Facilitator in establishing goals and outcomes for students.?
Compile and analyze data related to CBI and CTE outcomes, reporting results to district administrators.
Collaborate with other district personnel to integrate CTE into the overall curriculum and student support services.
Attend meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in CTE implementation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education, Counseling, Career Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Previous experience in implementing and coordinating career-based intervention programs within a school district setting.
Knowledge of career development theories, counseling techniques, and state graduation requirements.
Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including students, parents, school personnel, and community partners.
Ability to analyze data and use it to inform program improvement efforts.
Proficient in the use of technology and software applications relevant to CBI implementation.
Familiarity with local labor market trends and industry needs.
Certification or licensure in school counseling or Career Based Intervention Endorsement or career counseling is a plus.
