SAIC is seeking an Air Dominance Senior Operations Analyst with an active TS/SCI to support our customer in Hampton, VA. The Air Dominance Senior Operations Analyst will serve as the lead requirements advisor and operations expert for cutting edge air-to-air and air-to-ground capability development. This position serves as the technical focal point for capability requirements development, program management, and analytical support to HQ ACC A5/8Z.
Location: Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA. Travel: Up to two (2) trips per month to CONUS/OCONUS areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tactical expertise for the Air Dominance weapons portfolio including JATM, HACM, AMRAAM, SiAW, FAMM, and future classified projects.
- Providing operational, technical and analytical assistance to document System Requirements Documents (SRD) and other MAJCOM and Special Access Program Requirements.
- Regularly interfacing with OSW, Joint Staff, MAJCOMs, NAFs, AF TENCAP, FFRDCs, and other Government organizations when performing duties associated with HQ ACC A5/8Z.
- Advising Command Leadership in areas of Mission Needs, Requirements Analysis, Concepts of Operation (CONOPs), program analysis, platform roadmap including technology insertion, platform integration, and support planning.
- Recommending policy changes to advising the customer on policy change processes
- Drafting, reviewing, and implementing procedures and policy, defining system capability, creating requirements documents, and guiding advanced capability integration into Combat Air Forces (CAF) operations
- Teaming with other DoW and government offices as required to develop System Requirements Documents (SRD) and assist in system derived technical requirements to facilitate fielding of future requirements
- Providing security and program indoctrination briefings to organization personnel
- Planning, coordinating and attending HQ ACC A5/8Z functions, conferences and management reviews – approximately 5 per year requiring 25% travel time CONUS/OCONUS
- *Position requires up to 25% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas
Required Clearance:
- TS/SCI required to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Poly required to maintain employment
- US citizenship
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Rated pilot or Weapons Systems Officer in a Combat Air Force (CAF) platform
- Bachelors degree and 14, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
- Familiarization with DoW staff work, PPBE process, JCIDS process, and DoD systems acquisition
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ year of Special Access Program (SAP) experience
