The Impact You Will Make
As an Associate on the Collateral Strategy & Innovation team, you will help modernize Fannie Mae's collateral and valuation capabilities through business intelligence, technology, automation, and artificial intelligence. We are looking for someone who brings strong problem-solving ability, technical curiosity, initiative, adaptability, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
This role is ideal for someone who is curious, adaptable, and technology-oriented and enjoys using data and technology to solve business problems. You will support business intelligence, applications, reporting, automation, and process-improvement initiatives while gaining exposure to emerging technologies and evolving business needs.
As a valued colleague on our team, you will collaborate with business and technical partners to understand needs, analyze information, develop insights, and help implement practical technology-enabled solutions.
What You Will Do
- Use business intelligence and analytical tools to explore data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Develop and enhance dashboards, reports, business applications, and automated workflows using tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint .
- Explore practical applications of artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve processes and productivity.
- Gather and document business needs and support requirements, testing, and implementation of new or enhanced capabilities.
- Analyze processes and workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and improved efficiency.
- Support prototypes and proofs of concept to test new ideas and technology solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Risk, Policy, Operations, and other partners on cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop knowledge of collateral and valuation processes and apply that understanding to business intelligence and technology solutions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
- Experience using data, reporting, business intelligence, business applications, or technology tools to address business needs.
- Demonstrated technical curiosity and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and business processes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Desired
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint , or similar BI, low-code/no-code, or workflow platforms.
- Experience with artificial intelligence, generative AI, automation, or emerging technologies.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, applications, automated workflows, or other technology-enabled solutions.
- Exposure to SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis or programming tools.
- Financial services, mortgage, real estate, collateral, appraisal, or valuation experience is beneficial but not required .

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
