Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Variable shifts based on operational needs, including 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay Range:
$30.70 - $46.05

Essential Functions

- Provides general and technical supervision over laboratory services ensuring accurate and appropriate completion of laboratory tests.

- Analyzes and corrects problems with technical testing involving methods, techniques and instrumentation, with assistance from the Supervisor.

- Assumes a 'working' lead tech role troubleshooting technical problems and assisting with various assignments.

- Inventories and orders laboratory supplies and materials.

- Oversees orientation and training of new personnel.

- Monitors the accuracy of test methods and instruments in the laboratory.

- Schedules laboratory staff and provides input for performance evaluations.

- Reviews and implements laboratory Quality Assurance programs.

- Orders, submits, and documents laboratory proficiency testing.

Physical Requirements
Lifting up to 50 pounds and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Responsible for carrying, pushing and pulling objects. Ability to coordinate eyes and hand to fingers rapidly and accurately in making precise movements with speed. Hand and finger dexterity required. Frequent contact with water (handwashing and cleaning), and biohazardous body fluids, and hazardous chemical exposure. Exposure to noise and interruptions to cause distraction and stress. Responsibility to work in a safe manner.

Educational Experience
Associates Degree and successful completion of accredited MLT Program required. MLT Certification with 5 years of experience required. MT Certification with at least two years of experience preferred.
