HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE

As the Associate Credit Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting Campbell's financial health while enabling profitable growth across multiple business units. You will manage a customer portfolio representing more than $600 million in Accounts Receivable, balancing risk management, cash flow optimization, working capital performance, and customer relationships. Through strong financial analysis, disciplined credit decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration, you will help safeguard company assets, strengthen Order-to-Cash processes, and drive continuous improvement across Credit and Accounts Receivable operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead Credit and Financial Risk Management

- Assess customer creditworthiness through financial statement analysis, credit reports, trade references, payment history, economic conditions, and industry trends.
- Establish and maintain customer credit limits, payment terms, and risk mitigation strategies within delegated authority levels.
- Monitor customer financial health and credit exposure, proactively identifying risks and recommending protective actions.
- Review and evaluate customer orders, approving, restricting, or escalating credit decisions in accordance with company policy.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders to manage financially distressed, high-risk, or bankrupt customers.

Drive Accounts Receivable and Collections Performance

- Manage an Accounts Receivable portfolio exceeding $600 million across multiple business units and customer relationships.
- Support working capital objectives by improving key performance measures such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Average Days to Pay, percent current receivables, past-due exposure, and bad debt.
- Provide oversight and governance for collections activities performed by internal teams, shared services organizations, and third-party providers.
- Monitor payment trends, disputes, collection effectiveness, and escalations while implementing action plans to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency.
- Lead or support credit hold decisions, collection escalations, and associated stakeholder communications.

Deliver Reporting, Analytics, and Business Insights

- Prepare and present recurring and ad hoc reporting related to Accounts Receivable, credit risk, collections performance, working capital, and balance sheet activity.
- Analyze portfolio, customer, and business-unit trends to identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Develop recommendations and actionable insights that support business and financial decision-making.
- Maintain reporting accuracy, supporting documentation, audit evidence, and reporting governance standards.

Manage Customer Master Data Governance

- Oversee credit and customer master data, including credit limits, payment terms, customer hierarchies, and relationship structures.
- Partner with Master Data Management and business stakeholders to support customer onboarding and data maintenance activities.
- Promote data quality, consistency, and accuracy to support reporting, controls, operational execution, and risk assessment.

Ensure Compliance and Drive Continuous Improvement

- Maintain compliance with Campbell's credit policies, Order-to-Cash procedures, SOX requirements, financial controls, and applicable regulations.
- Support audits, control testing, remediation efforts, and policy reviews.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and lead process improvement initiatives that strengthen controls and improve efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives, reporting enhancements, and system or process changes impacting Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable.

Build Strong Cross-Functional Partnerships

- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Legal, Master Data Management, Shared Services, and third-party partners.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer finance and Accounts Payable organizations regarding payment performance, terms compliance, disputes, and escalations.
- Communicate complex financial and credit matters in a clear, business-focused manner, including risks, impacts, recommendations, and required actions.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Legal, Master Data Management, Shared Services, and external customer finance organizations. You will also collaborate with third-party service providers and internal business leaders to improve working capital performance, strengthen controls, mitigate risk, and support responsible revenue growth.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE (MUST HAVE)

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Credit, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Finance, Treasury, or Order-to-Cash operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing credit risk and performing financial analysis for large or complex customer portfolios.
- Strong financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, collections, customer master data, working capital management, and Order-to-Cash processes.
- Experience analyzing large and complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, make sound business decisions, and drive issues to resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business units and with internal and external stakeholders.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE (NICE TO HAVE)

- Experience within a consumer packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, or shared services environment.
- Working knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, policy governance, and credit or bankruptcy regulations.
- Experience providing functional leadership or oversight to offshore, shared service, or third-party teams.
- Experience using SAP, credit management platforms, business intelligence tools, or reporting solutions.
- Experience leading process improvement, automation, or system enhancement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of customer onboarding, master data governance, and financial controls.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and risk mitigation programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$107,800-$148,200

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
