What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

- Apply advanced knowledge of bacterial immunology, immunoassay platforms, and functional assay methodologies to support vaccine development programs.
- Serve as a technical expert in the development, optimization, qualification, validation, and lifecycle management of bacterial immunoassays.
- Lead assay activities across the development, including assay design, feasibility assessment, method optimization, validation, technology transfer, and clinical sample testing support.
- Develop and evaluate innovative approaches, methodologies, and hypotheses to improve assay performance and address scientific challenges.
- Resolve moderately complex scientific and technical issues involving assay performance, data interpretation, and clinical study support.
- Adapt and refine established methodologies while maintaining data quality, reproducibility, and compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
- Work independently, manage assigned priorities, and engage colleagues and cross-functional partners to address emerging scientific questions and program needs.
- Interpret and communicate complex data to project teams and stakeholders to support decisions across preclinical and clinical vaccine programs.
- Collaborate with clinical, statistical, regulatory, quality, and laboratory operations partners to support assay implementation and timely delivery of clinical testing data.
- Contribute to technical reports, regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and presentations.

Here Is What You Need

Must have

- Advanced knowledge of immunological principles and bacterial vaccine evaluation.
- PhD in immunology, microbiology, biological sciences, or a related discipline with 0 to 3 years of experience OR MBA/MS with 7 to 8 years of experience OR BA/BS with 9 to 11 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in immunoassay development, qualification, validation, and clinical testing.
- Hands-on experience with ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, functional antibody assays, or related immunological techniques.
- Strong capabilities in experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and scientific problem-solving.
- Ability to lead scientific initiatives and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

- An equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience that demonstrates expertise in bacterial immunoassay development, validation, and clinical testing will also be considered.
- Proficiency with personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,600.00 to $156,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
