Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our New Jersey office. Job Requirements:
This position will support the IP Practice working on the strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios. The ideal candidate will have 2- 4 years of focused experience in the following areas:
- Drafting patent applications in the computer arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, FinTech, web applications, telecommunications, integrated circuits, etc.)
- Prosecuting patent applications
Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in computer engineering and/or computer science are preferred, although candidates with degrees in electrical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered. Experience drafting complex software patent applications is required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be comfortable working directly with clients, and possess strong writing and analytical skills.


The expected pay range for this position is:
Patent Agent $150,000- $200,000 annually
Patent Associate $200,000- $230,000 annually

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
