About this role
C.H. Guenther is seeking a strategic and business-focused technology leader to oversee our enterprise applications portfolio and help drive the next phase of growth and transformation across the organization.
This role will lead SAP ECC and related enterprise applications while partnering closely with business leaders to support acquisitions, integrations, modernization initiatives, and long-term technology strategy. The Director, Enterprise Applications will play a critical leadership role in standardizing processes, enabling growth, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Enterprise Applications Strategy
- Develop and execute the roadmap for enterprise applications, including SAP ECC and related business platforms.
- Evaluate future-state technology strategies and modernization opportunities.
- Partner with executive leadership to align technology priorities with business objectives.
Drive Acquisitions and Integrations
- Lead ERP and enterprise application integration efforts for newly acquired businesses.
- Establish scalable processes and standards to accelerate future integrations.
- Ensure successful planning, execution, and stabilization of implementation projects.
Partner with the Business
- Collaborate with leaders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial, HR, and Shared Services.
- Translate business requirements into technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on enterprise systems and business process improvements.
Oversee Application Delivery and Support
- Ensure reliable operation of SAP ECC and related business-critical applications.
- Lead implementation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives.
- Manage external partners, vendors, and consulting resources.
Develop and Lead the Team
- Lead and develop Enterprise Applications managers and team members.
- Strengthen organizational capabilities, succession planning, and knowledge transfer.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required; MBA, advanced technical degree, or relevant SAP/enterprise technology certification preferred.
- Progressive leadership experience supporting enterprise applications and ERP environments.
- Hands-on experience leading SAP ECC projects, implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
- Experience leading large-scale cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology investments to business outcomes.
- Experience managing teams, vendors, and external implementation partners.
Experience
- Typically 12 or more years of progressive enterprise applications and technology experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility in a complex operating environment; an exceptional step-up candidate with demonstrated scope, results, and leadership capability will be considered.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
- Food manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, medical device, energy, or other highly regulated industries.
- Consulting or systems integrator background.
- CRM implementation or enterprise platform modernization experience.
- PMP or other project management certification.
Working Conditions and Travel
- Based at CHG's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, with regular in-person presence and interaction across corporate, commercial, supply-chain, and manufacturing environments.
- Regular travel to CHG facilities, acquired businesses, implementation sites, and technology partners is required based on business needs, including periodic international travel.
- May spend time in food-manufacturing environments with normal exposure to noise, temperature variation, food ingredients, allergens, and other operating conditions; required personal protective equipment will be provided.

$159,000.00 - $254,400.00 USD
Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
