The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more

Position Overview:
To insure that all food items received meet the approved criteria established by the hotel Food and Beverage/Purchasing Departments. Conducts a thorough, but prompt, inspection of every delivery to ascertain proper specification factors to determine acceptability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Check shipment by comparing it with Daily Order Sheet and invoice to insure that what we are receiving is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date). Fill and deliver food requisitions for all outlets.
If shipment is correct, time stamp and sign driver's and hotel copies of invoice. Place the hotel stamp on front side of invoice and sign next to "Received By".
If shipment is received with delivery slip or memo invoice, follow same procedure and fill out a "goods received without invoice" form (completed after inspection).
Submit daily a progress report to Purchasing for outstanding deliveries.
Directs the traffic of all incoming items until they have been properly dated, priced, labeled or tagged. The pricing procedure is to be done by the Receiving Agent, Storeroom Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager only. All items will be priced out "as purchased", i.e., per each, per pound, per case.
Labels all incoming bread and bakery deliveries as to outlet or banquet function.
Conduct random spot-checks of all perishable items for proper storing and packaging to guard against quality loss due to over-exposure to storage temperatures, improper rotation, etc.
Assists and directs inventory documentaries along with the Storeroom Manager as necessary.
Assists Storeroom Clerks in filling requisitions and sanitation maintenance daily.
Assist in conducting End-Of-Month Physical Inventory.
Verify, receive and rotate all orders using proper HACCAP procedures (work with vendors & managers to ensure this)
Check all goods for quantity & quality. Anything that is incorrect, notify deliverer & manager to ensure proper credit.
Cleanliness of following areas: Beer cooler, Walk-in Coolers, Freezer, dry storage, receiving area. Keep clear of all boxes; take all trash from these areas to the dumpster. Break down all boxes for disposal.
Records and reports shortages and discrepancies.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of shipping and receiving related transactions
Delivery of F&B items to each guest floor as your manager dictates
Perform any reasonable duties as required and directed by the Director of F&B

Experience:
Previous experience facilitating shipments
Work successfully in fast-paced environment, while under pressure
Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize and be detailed-oriented
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Language Skills: must be able to understand, speak, read and write Basic English. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions. Be able to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees within the organization
Mathematical Skills: must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions. Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Physical Ability: To complete the duties of the job, the employee will be required to reach with hands and arms and often stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There will be frequent walking and standing involved. The person will be required to lift or move weights ranging from 10 – 25 pounds.
