Job Summary:

Pay: $20.00–$23.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; Occasional Saturday rotation

California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced 26' Box Truck Driver for our Compton operation.

This is a full-time position performing local pickups, deliveries, and freight recoveries throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Drivers operate 26-foot liftgate box trucks and handle time-sensitive airfreight shipments for domestic and international freight forwarders.

Routes typically require 8–10 hours, depending on freight volume, traffic, and operational needs.

What You'll Do

- Operate a 26' liftgate box truck on assigned local routes

- Pick up and deliver time-sensitive airfreight shipments

- Safely load, unload, and secure freight

- Use liftgate and material-handling equipment as required

- Complete vehicle inspections, manifests, and required driver documentation

- Provide professional service at customer locations

- Follow company safety, DOT, TSA, and OSHA requirements

Qualifications

- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated

- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience operating a 26' box truck

- Experience using a liftgate preferred

- Safe driving record

- Ability to safely load and unload freight

- Dependable attendance

- Ability to work the required Monday–Friday schedule

- Ability to meet company, insurance, TSA, background-screening, and applicable drug-testing requirements
