About this role

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in human services with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

- Knowledge of social services with strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to supervise others

- Will consider bachelor’s degree education in social work or human services with 5 years of supervisory experience.

- Must become a certified Parenting Education instructor in the designated parenting education curriculum within one year of employment.

Summary:  Provide essential administration and supervision of the Parenting Education Program to ensure quality operation of services, case documentation and related tasks.   Monitor contractual obligations including but not limited to appropriate referrals, accuracy with monthly billing, renewal of contracts, prepare reports for funding sources as required.  Supervision of program staff and provide training to new staff.

This role involves working with parents who are involved with the court system through the Department of Child and Family Services, Adult Probation, or Self-referrals from the community. Performing various duties related to case management (i.e., case note documentation, monthly billing, report writing, and managing client files, etc.)

Duties:

- Administrative Responsibilities:

Monitor referrals to the program

Schedule classes, appointments, meetings, and follow-ups.

Organize and maintain accurate case files, record keeping, and filing documentation.

Respond to phone calls, emails, and correspondence related to the program.

Provide 1-on-1 supervision of Parenting Education staff, at least monthly

Active participation in YSBIV’s Continuous Quality Improvement activities, quarterly

- Data Management:

Maintain updated records in database.

Generate reports and summaries as needed for quarterly review.

Maintain Monthly Billing Spreadsheet

- Communication Coordination:

Ensure there is monthly contact with clients and collaterals.

- Operational Support:

Ensure appropriate office supplies and equipment necessary for casework.

Provide general support to the team, including organizing files and managing office logistics.

Core Competencies:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- Leadership and motivational interviewing skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Office 365 software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Teams, etc.).

- Sensitive to all cultures

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
