About this role
The Petersburg Family YMCA is seeking a dependable, energetic individual to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children in our Child Watch facility. Candidates should enjoy working with children and be looking for a long-term, year-round position without extended seasonal absences. Morning availability is strongly preferred.
- Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:55 AM–12:00 PM and/or 4:55 PM–8:00 PM
- Pay: $13–$15 per hour
- Requirements: Reliable transportation and consistent, year-round availability
DUTIES of a Child Watch Attendant
Responsibilities of a child watch attendant include interacting with children and their parents/guardians to build relationships, enforcing rules, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
QUALIFICATIONS of a Child Watch Attendant
Child watch attendants must be at least 16 years old. It is also preferable that the candidate would have previous child care experience.
