About this role
Zarminali Pediatrics is building the nation's leading pediatric multispecialty group, focused on supporting families to shape healthy futures for their children – from birth through adulthood – by completely transforming the way pediatric care is delivered nationwide. We are tackling today's challenges of increased administrative burden on clinicians and a siloed approach to pediatric care through intentional design of care delivery, enhanced by leading technology and collaborative, expert care teams.
Our name, inspired by our founder's daughter's name – Zarmina – means “something that is more precious to you than gold”. We couldn’t think of anything that better represents the way parents and caregivers hold the relationship with their children as the most valuable gift, and how we at Zarminali approach care for each child with equal reverence.
We strive for a healthier future for pediatric patients and a happier future for pediatric clinicians nationwide, and we are looking for people to join us in achieving this vision. If you are eager to join a growth stage company and be part of the early team that is shaping the foundation of both the company and the delivery of pediatric care, then this opportunity might be for you!
POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for an experienced Contract Healthcare Recruiter to join our team. This role will have a heavy focus on high-volume hiring for hourly clinical roles, primarily Medical Assistants (MAs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). You’ll also support all non-provider recruiting, including corporate roles, for the duration of the contract. In this role, you’ll manage the full recruiting lifecycle—from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance—while partnering closely with clinic and operational leaders to fill critical openings quickly without compromising candidate quality or experience.
This role will provide recruiting coverage during an upcoming leave of absence and is expected to last approximately 3–6 months . You’ll step into an active requisition load of clinical and corporate roles, so we’re looking for someone who can ramp up quickly, work independently, and keep hiring activity moving with minimal disruption. Depending on performance and future business needs, there may be an opportunity to be considered for a permanent position.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position and is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, or other employee benefit programs. Candidates must be comfortable working in a 1099 contractor capacity for the duration of the engagement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Manage a full-cycle requisition load of approximately 30 open hourly clinical and corporate positions at any given time.
- Source candidates through job boards, our Greenhouse CRM and ATS social media, referrals, nursing and MA school partnerships, and community outreach.
- Screen candidates for relevant experience, licensure, certifications, schedule and shift availability, compensation expectations, and overall role fit.
- Conduct recruiter phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and operational leaders.
- Review required credentials, including active RN licenses and compact status where applicable, MA certifications (CMA, RMA, CCMA), BLS/CPR, and other position-specific requirements.
- Partner with the People Operations teamto support background checks, drug screens, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding.
- Extend offers and navigate compensation discussions within established hourly pay ranges.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition activity within the ATS.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline health, hiring progress, recruiting activity, and key hiring metrics to hiring managers and stakeholders.
- Partner with hiring leaders to provide insight into talent supply, market conditions, compensation competitiveness, and expected time-to-fill.
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through timely, transparent, and consistent communication throughout the recruiting process.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 1 year supporting healthcare or high-volume hourly hiring.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for clinical positions such as Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, LPNs, or similar healthcare roles.
- Working knowledge of healthcare licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements.
- Experience managing a high-volume requisition load in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within an ATS such as Greenhouse, iCIMS, Workday, Bullhorn, or a similar platform.
- Experience utilizing sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and other candidate databases.
- Strong phone-screening, sourcing, relationship-building, and offer negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and quickly adjust to changing hiring priorities.
- Comfort working with hourly compensation structures, shift differentials, and other considerations associated with clinical hiring.
- Strong communication skills and a sense of urgency when supporting candidates and hiring leaders.
- Ability and willingness to work as a 1099 independent contractor for the duration of the engagement.
