General Purpose: The analyst will work cross-functionally to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes. Responsible for implementing key strategies in accordance with the goals of BHFCU. The Project Analyst will assist with communicating project plans and act as a liaison between end-users and stakeholders.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze existing data in process improvement and project manager to help make informed decisions on business needs and value of outcomes.
- Assist with individual and cross-department team projects that support the strategic plan, create efficiencies, or benefit the overall budget. Assist with the completion of assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Clearly outline milestones and tasks involved in a project. Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. Motivate team members to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project. Prepare and implement a budget based on estimates. Report cost outcomes following completion of the project.
- Understand current system capabilities and align with future projects working closely with the EPMO team.
- Assist with risk assessments, report risks to project manager, and provide recommendations for mitigation of risk.
- Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Act as a liaison between credit union and vendors as assigned.
- Communicate and collaborate to provide training and information related to projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, and credit union regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Ensure initiatives achieve the intended business value through strong ownership of outcomes.
- Serves as consultant and facilitator to internal business groups on process improvements and projects designed to improve their business results. Partner with business stakeholders to identify, refine, and document detailed business needs.
- Frequently interfaces with business partners, business lines, including management, and/or internal resources to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Review contracts and financial reports for vendor onboarding.
- Assist with project status report generation on a regular basis to be presented to stakeholders.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action. Prepare comprehensive reports and present ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Develop methods and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Gather the necessary information for submission of required reports and necessary forms.
- Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments that may affect the credit union. Disseminate information to keep management and staff current regarding changes in laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Continuously review business needs, refines priorities, and identify opportunities and risks.
- Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn new job-related skills, services, and regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
Job Knowledge
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the credit union.
- Strong presentation and creative writing skills; ability to communicate with employees and management; ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of business writing.
- The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and to outside parties.
- Working knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.
- Working knowledge of the credit union's in-house computer system and internet.
- Working knowledge of leadership techniques to enhance staff productivity and to maintain positive staff morale.

Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)
Job requires a four-year college level of language, math, and reasoning skills. Three years’ experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable. Experience in the financial industry is strongly preferred. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, LEAN/Six Sigma, and/or comparable project management certifications are preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Activities
Occasional travel to one of BHFCU’s branch locations or attendance at community events may be required.
Job requires limited physical effort. It is primarily a desk assignment. Work within a highly structured and supervised environment. Ability to function in a fast-paced area. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The job requires a degree of attention to detail.
