Position Summary
The Director, Infrastructure provides strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s Infrastructure portfolio, ensuring the effective delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure services and programs. This role is responsible for the operational management of the Field Services organization, program leadership for Vulnerability Management as a Service, and oversight of key infrastructure projects and initiatives, including PC Refresh and Statement of Work (SOW) engagements.
The Director partners with technology leaders, business stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams to ensure infrastructure services are executed effectively, aligned with business objectives, and delivered within established commitments for quality, cost, scope, and schedule.
This role provides leadership across multiple infrastructure disciplines, including Network, Infrastructure, End User Computing (EUC), Service Management, and Field Services, while supporting account-level priorities and additional responsibilities as assigned by the company.
Key Responsibilities
Field Services Leadership
- Provide operational leadership and oversight for the Field Services organization, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across supported locations and accounts.
- Establish and maintain operational standards, processes, performance expectations, and service delivery objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, customer satisfaction, and overall team performance.
- Partner with account leadership and technology teams to identify and resolve operational challenges and service delivery risks.
- Monitor operational performance, capacity, resource utilization, and key performance indicators to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Field Operations management and teams.
Vulnerability Management as a Service Program
- Serve as Program Director for the VMaaS program, providing overall accountability for program execution and delivery.
- Establish program governance, objectives, priorities, milestones, and performance measures.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of program deliverables.
- Monitor program health, risks, issues, dependencies, and financial performance, escalating and resolving challenges as appropriate.
- Ensure program activities align with organizational security, infrastructure, compliance, and client requirements.
- Communicate program status, risks, achievements, and strategic recommendations to executive and account-level stakeholders.
Infrastructure Portfolio & Project Governance
- Provide leadership and governance for PC Refresh and other projects within the infrastructure portfolio.
- Oversee project execution across Network, Infrastructure, EUC, Service Management, and Field Operations.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and contractual commitments.
- Establish appropriate project governance, reporting, risk management, and escalation processes.
- Coordinate resources and dependencies across multiple technology and operational teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution, standardization, repeatability, and overall portfolio performance.
- Ensure appropriate transition of projects and solutions into ongoing operational support.
Account & Client Leadership
- Support multiple account assignments and provide leadership based on organizational and client needs.
- Develop strong relationships with account leadership, clients, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
- Provide infrastructure expertise and leadership in support of account strategy, client objectives, and business growth.
- Participate in account planning, service reviews, operational reviews, and executive-level discussions as required.
- Identify and address service delivery risks, opportunities, and emerging infrastructure needs.
- Take on incremental account-level responsibilities and leadership assignments as directed by company leadership.
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's broader infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
- Promote standardization, automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across infrastructure services.
- Collaborate with senior technology leadership to align infrastructure capabilities with business and client requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry practices, and operational models to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Service Management, Applications, and other technology organizations.
- Represent the Infrastructure organization in leadership forums and other strategic initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, technology operations, service delivery, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams, operational organizations, programs, or complex IT initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure operations across multiple technology disciplines.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, programs, or Statements of Work.
- Experience with program governance, financial management, risk management, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and services, including network, infrastructure, endpoint/EUC, service management, and field operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, accounts, and initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading Vulnerability Management, cybersecurity, or security-related technology programs.
- Experience managing PC refresh / endpoint lifecycle programs at scale.
- Experience in managed services, professional services, or multi-client environment.
- Experience with ITIL-based service management practices.
- PMP, ITIL, or other relevant professional certification.
- Experience managing client-facing technology programs and executive relationships.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure transformation, modernization, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Benefits
The base compensation range for this position is:
$119,274.00 - $178,910.00
Compensation ranges could be hourly or salary depending upon the exempt status of the posted position.
Beginning compensation is determined based on objective factors such as location, qualifications, skills, certifications, and experience. Typically, a candidate is hired in the lower to midpoint of the range; the top end of the range is reserved for candidates with extensive specialized experience and mastery within the role. Compensation may increase over time based on performance, experience, and tenure.
