Job Summary
As a Caregiver with Amada Senior Care, you will provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to seniors and veterans in their homes. You will help clients maintain their independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life while assisting with their individual daily needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
- Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Encourage client independence and engagement in daily activities
- Follow individual care plans and communicate concerns to the appropriate office staff
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful home environment
Qualifications
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
- Genuine passion for helping seniors and veterans
- Must have 2 years of caregiving experience
- Experience with Hoyer lifts and gait belts is a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel within a 25-mile radius of Port Arthur, TX
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependability and commitment to providing quality care
Schedule
Part-time opportunities are available, including weekend and overnight shifts. Scheduling depends on client needs and caregiver availability.
