Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.

- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
- Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
- Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
- Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
** This is an on-call based role**
On-Call Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 1930–0730 (Subject to change to Monday–Friday based on unit needs).
Compensation: Paid at a flat rate of 38-hours per week for 60-hours of on-call availability.
Staffing Model: Two (2) RNs are on call at all times to ensure adequate coverage for the PACU.
Must sign a 6-month employment contract.
Attendance Policy: Employees are permitted no more than four (4) missed on-call shifts within any 6-month period (exclusion of non-assigned holidays) .
Holiday Rotation: Participation in the unit’s holiday rotation is mandatory.
Holiday Requirement: Must cover two (2) holidays per year, with shift coverage from 0700–0700 (24 hours).
Job Requirements
Required
- Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Preferred
- Previous PACU experience or strong clinical background
- Previous PACU/ICU/ED experience
- One year of Nursing experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Where You’ll Work
St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team as an On-Call RN. You will play a critical role in supporting our high-volume surgical and procedural environment, ensuring seamless patient care during overnight hours. Our unit supports Surgery, the GI Lab, and the Pain Clinic, featuring 13 pre-op rooms, 19 PACU bays, 3 GI/Endoscopy rooms, 1 pain procedure room, and 10 OR procedure rooms. We maintain a high-volume daily average of approximately 40 surgical cases, 15 GI procedures, and 30 pain procedures.
