About this role

As Artificial Intelligence Strategy Practice Leader, you play a key role in the Office of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer, which helps various sectors across the organization generate, prioritize and implement analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. You help teams take full advantage of data and AI to achieve their business objectives. To do this, you work closely with business partners to understand their challenges, identify opportunities and align analytical efforts with the organization’s strategic priorities. You also conduct strategic monitoring of AI developments and market practices. Working with the sectors, you lead efforts to find opportunities based on business processes and take part in discussions on transforming them through AI. By doing so, you help the organization identify tasks that need improvement and processes that need to be redesigned More specifically, you will be required to :

- Help business sectors create, prioritize and adopt AI opportunities, aligned with business priorities
- Support business sectors as they develop their AI strategies
- Act as the main point of contact for AI between the business sectors and the Office of Desjardins Group’s Chief Data and Analytics Officer
- Monitor market trends and internal AI activity across business sectors and support functions to identify opportunities for analytics
- Hold brainstorming sessions to explore process-focused AI opportunities in different business sectors to determine which AI projects to prioritize
- Create project briefs for AI opportunities, defining the business objective, context, business value, data requirements and complexity
- Conduct internal and external monitoring of AI developments and determine their practical implications for the strategy and business sectors
- Work with business sectors to lead initiatives to identify AI opportunities across processes, activities and member and client journeys
- Prepare clear analyses and recommendations for senior management and decision-making bodies.

What you bring to the table

- Bachelor’s degree in administration, strategy, organizational transformation, technology, analytics or a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Significant experience in corporate strategy, transformation or execution of cross-sector initiatives in a large organization
- Significant experience structuring complex issues, challenging assumptions and formulating clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience in a role that calls for excellent political acumen and the ability to influence individuals with differing priorities, without direct reporting authority
- Experience in process analysis or transformation
- Knowledge of French is required
- Excellent French-language writing, synthesis and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of AI, its business potential, its foundations, its governance principles and the primary risks associated with it; in-depth technical expertise not required
- Knowledge of Desjardins or experience in a large financial institution
