Overall Purpose
The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection programs to ensure product conformance to customer and engineering specifications. This role supports quality assurance activities by creating accurate and efficient automated inspection routines, analyzing measurement data, and helping drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and customer quality standards to determine inspection requirements.
- Develop, validate, and maintain DCC programs for fixed-coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) using approved programming software.
- Create efficient inspection routines that ensure accurate measurement and verification of dimensional characteristics.
- Review and revise existing CMM programs to support engineering changes, drawing revisions, and process improvements.
- Verify that inspection programs are aligned with the correct part number, revision level, and customer requirements.
- Perform CMM setup, qualification, and operational verification to ensure equipment readiness and measurement accuracy.
- Confirm proper fixturing, calibration status, and measurement system integrity prior to inspection activities.
- Analyze inspection results and troubleshoot programming, setup, fixturing, or measurement issues to ensure reliable results.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and customer representatives to resolve dimensional and process concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, measurement data, and programming changes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inspection efficiency, repeatability, and quality performance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
