Your Role and Impact
As an Applications Engineer, you will help customers and channel partners solve complex industrial application challenges with practical, value-driven flow control solutions. You will combine technical expertise with commercial judgment to evaluate customer needs, develop proposals, and deliver accurate quotations that support growth and long-term customer relationships.
Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and other technical teams, you will play an important role in turning customer requirements into successful orders. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating across teams, and making a direct impact on customer satisfaction and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support assigned customers and channel partners by responding to technical and commercial inquiries.
- Review customer requests and specifications to identify appropriate product and application solutions.
- Develop technical solution proposals that meet customer requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and other internal teams as needed.
- Create clear, competitive technical and commercial quotations.
- Coordinate with sales teams and technical specialists to align proposals with customer needs and business objectives.
- Review incoming orders for technical accuracy, commercial terms, and completeness before order processing.
- Prepare complete order documentation and support the transfer of accepted orders to the appropriate internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, plus 3–5 years of relevant experience; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience in an Applications Engineer, Inside Sales, Technical Sales, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical technical and commercial solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical judgment skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, engineered products, or flow control applications.
- Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, cost estimates, and order documentation.
- Working knowledge of SAP or another enterprise resource planning system.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience collaborating with sales, engineering, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain teams.
