Position Summary
The Maintenance Director is a hands-on leader responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our senior living community. This role performs routine maintenance repairs, apartment turn preparation, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep while ensuring residents enjoy a comfortable and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, flooring, and carpentry.
- Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the community, including common areas and grounds.
- Complete apartment turns, move-in preparations, and refurbishments following resident move-outs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and address maintenance concerns promptly.
- Ensure community equipment and building systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain fire safety systems and required maintenance records.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Build positive relationships with residents through responsive, customer-focused service.
- Promote a safe environment by identifying and correcting potential hazards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience preferred in senior living, multifamily housing, hospitality, apartment communities, or a similar residential environment.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance.
- Experience completing apartment turns and move-in preparations preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs independently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
