Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Risk Management Analyst to support project and program risk management activities across major infrastructure and capital projects.
The successful candidate will work with project teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and communicate project risks and opportunities. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to work independently with general direction. This is a replacement role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of project risk registers and risk management processes.
- Facilitate or support risk identification, assessment, review, and mitigation workshops.
- Work with project managers, technical leads, schedulers, cost specialists, and other stakeholders.
- Perform qualitative risk assessments and support quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis, as required.
- Track risk responses, actions, ownership, and changes in risk exposure.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and other project deliverables.
- Review risk information for completeness, consistency, and quality.
- Support continuous improvement of risk management tools, procedures, and processes.
- Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing support to junior team members.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, business, or a related discipline + 4 (four) years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in project controls, project management, risk management, or a related field.
- Experience with risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large infrastructure, transportation, buildings, water, or other major capital projects.
- Experience with project risk registers and risk management tools.
- Familiarity with quantitative risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, cost risk analysis, and/or schedule risk analysis.
- Experience with tools such as Safran Risk, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, ARM/Riskonnect, @RISK, or similar platforms .
- Understanding of recognized project risk management principles and practices.
- Professional certification in project or risk management , such as PMP, PMI-RMP, AACE PRMP/DRMP, or equivalent , would be considered an asset.
- Professional engineering licensure such as P.Eng. , or eligibility for registration, would be considered an asset.
- Professional architectural licensure such as OAA , or an equivalent architectural designation, would be considered an asset.
