Job Description
*This position is only open to current members of the Float team. We will not be accepting applications from individuals who are not currently on the Float team.
Essential Functions
- Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
- Proactively educate members on the features and benefit of the Credit Union's products and services and actively cross-sell and make qualified referrals for additional appropriate loan, deposit and fee income products and services.
- Establish trust and lasting relationships with members by building a personal connection through engagement, education, asking open-ended questions, listening, and having a consultative approach.
- Assist in development of team members to provide training and mentoring as needed, by answering questions, reinforcing policies and procedures, and providing hands-on support to complex decisions and issues.
- Support the Branch Manager's sales culture throughout service centers.
- Function as Manager on duty in the absence of a Branch Manager - be available for the team by having higher deposit, withdrawal and wire approval limits, handle escalations while understanding chain of command and handle scheduling conflicts that arise.
- Assigned higher transaction and fund approval limits and supervisor override ability to approve employee transactions.
- Receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting member contact information and scheduling follow-ups for individuals who have a further need for engagement.
- Refer members to financial experts, as needed (e. g. First Mortgage and Financial advisors).
- Properly diagnose and perform research to resolve moderately complex member issues including communicating with other departments for issue resolution.
- Consistently exceeds established sales goals.
- Assist, serve, and follow up as necessary with members who have fraud and forgery, deceased accounts, retirement services, account maintenance, business needs, and other unique account types to meet their continued needs and provide exceptional service.
- Support branch communities by being involved in Wings sponsored events and/or community events.
- Stay current on all Wings promotions and communicates details as needed.
- Champion contests and activities to support Float Team goals.
- Follows through on risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers' assets, maintain their privacy, and act in their best interest.

- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
- Some college experience preferred.
- 2+ Proven sales skills and 2 years customer service or retail banking experience preferred.
- 1+ year in Retail Delivery Float Team at Wings required.
- Successful completion of consumer lender training or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion and proficiency of retail training.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, required.
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Project oriented.
- Proven sales skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead production through scorecard results.
- Proven proficiency with all lending products, business accounts, trained and proficient in unique accounts.
- Understands all credit union policies and procedures for cash handling, check handling, and identification.
- Powerful desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect members to today's as well as the always evolving technology trends.
- Proven proficiency with all lending products, business accounts, trained and proficient in unique accounts.
- Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations required.
- Experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while having the desire to maintain quality of service.

- Proficient with MS Office products and general office equipment.

- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
- Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan originator ("MLO?) unique qualifier (NMLS registration number). Must have the ability to successfully completed all MLO Registry requirements, including passing background and credit checks and submitting to fingerprinting and to any other requirements of the rules enacted pursuant to the S.A.F.E. Act.

Additional Information
PAY RANGE: $25 to $28/hour (S12) plus incentives.
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
