OpenText is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, growth, and evolution of OpenText Communications, our enterprise customer communications management portfolio.

This leader will own the product direction across deployment models, including off-cloud, single-tenant private cloud, and multi-tenant SaaS. This role will help clients modernize mission-critical communications operations while advancing our leadership in cloud, AI, intelligent design, orchestration, and omnichannel client engagement.

The portfolio strategy emphasizes deployment choice, migration and modernization, AI-enabled productivity, enterprise integrations, regulatory compliance, and the evolution from static communications toward more dynamic and conversational engagement.

Your Impact:

You will define and lead the overall product strategy for OpenText Communications and translate that strategy into clear investment priorities, roadmaps, growth plans, and measurable client outcomes.

You will lead a global team of product management professionals responsible for product strategy, design and authoring, orchestration, AI, integrations, cloud delivery, client adoption, and portfolio operations. You will partner closely with Development, Product Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Professional Services, Support, Cloud Operations, and other OpenText product groups.

What the Role Offers:

- Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for the OpenText Communications portfolio.
- Lead, coach, and develop a global product management team with clear ownership and accountability.
- Establish investment priorities across client innovation, cloud modernization, AI, platform capabilities, technical currency, security, and product maintenance.
- Drive the transition to cloud through compelling migration paths, deployment flexibility, simplified operations, and reduced barriers to adoption.
- Advance the portfolio's AI strategy, including assistance and agents that help clients design, create, migrate, govern, and manage communications.
- Align the single-tenant and multi-tenant product strategies while maintaining clear market positioning, target use cases, and economic models for each.
- Define measurable client and business outcomes for major roadmap investments.
- Guide product packaging, pricing, licensing, and monetization in partnership with finance, pricing, and go-to-market teams.
- Build strong relationships with strategic clients, advisory boards, industry analysts, partners, and field teams.
- Represent the portfolio in executive reviews, client engagements, analyst briefings, roadmap presentations, and major industry events.
- Partner with Development leadership to balance innovation, client commitments, architectural modernization, quality, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Strengthen integrations with enterprise ecosystems such as SAP, Salesforce, Guidewire, messaging, journey, content, and digital experience applications.
- Create clear positioning against major competitors and translate market insight into differentiated product investments.
- Lead portfolio planning, release governance, client commitment management, and cross-functional execution.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for investment, consolidation, modernization, or retirement of portfolio capabilities.

What You Need to Succeed:

- 10+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, including significant leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading product managers and complex global product portfolios.
- Demonstrated success defining product strategy and translating it into funded roadmaps and measurable business results.
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS, private cloud, off-cloud software, platform architecture, APIs, integrations, and security.
- Experience with customer communications management, content management, digital experience, workflow, messaging, or related enterprise applications strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cloud migration and portfolio modernization strategies.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including pricing, packaging, market segmentation, investment prioritization, and growth planning.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior clients, analysts, partners, sales leaders, architects, and development executives.
- Understanding of generative AI, predictive AI, agentic AI, and the governance considerations for enterprise AI.
- Excellent written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical and commercial topics into clear product decisions and market narratives.
- Strong execution discipline and the ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is an asset.
