About this role

Position Purpose: Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner

Key Details: Remote (TX, FL, MO, or CA only) Pharmacy Technician II, Specialty Outreach position supporting specialty pharmacy operations through customer service, phone outreach, and data entry. This phone-based role requires spending approximately 90% of the workday interacting with patients and healthcare providers, including contacting medical offices to clarify prescriptions, updating patients on prescription outcomes, supporting pharmacist callback queues by obtaining refill authorizations and prescription clarifications, assisting with pre-QA and data entry activities, and responding to email escalations. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, comfortable managing high call volumes, and proficient with computer systems, including typing at least 40 words per minute. Specialty pharmacy experience including Infusion and/or Oncology, is highly preferred. Candidates must reside in and maintain an active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas, Florida, Missouri, or California. Work hours are Monday through Friday based on your local time zone: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Eastern, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Central, or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Pacific, with some holidays required when the business is open.

- Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
- Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Maintain and update inventory recap report
- Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
- Maintain prescription logs
- Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance
- Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.

AcariaHealth: State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located. Must be licensed in Texas, Florida, Missouri or California.

Pay Range: $19.43 - $32.98 per hour
