ABA Insurance Services (ABAIS), a division of Great American Insurance Group, provides market-leading insurance solutions for banks and financial institutions nationwide. Endorsed by the American Bankers Association and numerous state banking associations, ABAIS offers specialized Property & Casualty, Professional Liability, Financial Institution Bond, and Cyber insurance products.
We are seeking an Insurance Product Analyst to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our insurance products. This role will partner closely with Great American’s product team and play a key role in maintaining insurance forms, coordinating product initiatives, supporting filing activities, conducting market research, and implementing product updates.
Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on‑site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Monday–Thursday.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of commercial insurance products and related product initiatives.
- Review, update, and maintain policy forms, endorsements, applications, underwriting guidelines, and other product documentation.
- Assist with insurance product filings, regulatory submissions, and implementation of approved product changes.
- Research market trends, competitor offerings, coverage developments, and emerging risks to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Analyze product performance, rate changes, coverage revisions, and business needs to support strategic product decisions.
- Partner with underwriting, compliance, operations, and leadership teams to coordinate and execute product-related projects.
- Work with external vendors and industry partners to gather research, benchmarking data, and market intelligence.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing resources, including applications, checklists, forms, and supporting materials.
- Support coverage enhancements, policy wording revisions, and other initiatives designed to improve product offerings and customer experience.
- Serve as a project resource for multiple product management initiatives, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and effective communication among stakeholders.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Generally, 3+ years of commercial insurance experience.
- Working knowledge of commercial Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Workers' Compensation, or related insurance coverages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience reviewing insurance policies, forms, endorsements, applications, or underwriting documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Product management, product development, underwriting, claims, compliance, or insurance operations experience.
- Experience working with insurance filings, forms management, product implementation, or regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with policy form language and coverage analysis.
- Experience supporting commercial insurance programs or specialty insurance products.
- Insurance industry designations such as CPCU, AU, ARM, API, or progress toward designation.
