Brunel has partnered with SB Energy to hire a Project Manager, Site Development to support the development of gas generation infrastructure powering the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Piketon, Ohio .
In this role, you will serve as the local site development lead , supporting the development and execution of the gas generation projects that will provide critical power infrastructure for the campus. You will coordinate closely with SB Energy’s Data Center Construction, Development, Land & Real Estate, Community Development, Permitting, Engineering, and Capital Markets teams, as well as external consultants and local stakeholders, to advance the project through key development milestones.

About the role:
The Project Manager, Site Development will be the local site development lead for the gas generation project supporting the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus .
This position will support all aspects of project development for the gas generation infrastructure powering the campus, including land, permitting, interconnection, engineering, stakeholder engagement, project agreements, budgeting, scheduling, and financing-related workstreams.
Working closely with the Project Development Regional Director and cross-functional teams, the Project Manager will help advance development activities, manage project deliverables, coordinate external consultants and stakeholders, and ensure critical milestones and dependencies remain on track.
Location: On-site – PORTS-Pike Technology Campus, Piketon, Ohio
Preferred Residence: Ohio or Northern Kentucky
Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel
Responsibilities:
- Project manage development-phase deliverables across land, permitting, interconnection, engineering, financing, and other cross-functional workstreams.
- Lead on-the-ground project development activities for the gas generation infrastructure supporting the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus.
- Support the Project Development Regional Director throughout all aspects of project development.
- Support efforts to secure site control, mineral surface waivers, easements, rights-of-way, title, and other land-related requirements.
- Coordinate wetlands delineations, environmental activities, and required project permits.
- Engage with local project stakeholders and support community and stakeholder outreach activities.
- Prepare presentation materials, project updates, and timely development status reports for senior management.
- Support the negotiation and execution of critical project agreements.
- Review key project contracts and agreements, including interconnection agreements, PPAs, EPC contracts, and other development-related documentation, and track associated deadlines and internal deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to evaluate project sites, designs, schedules, development requirements, and execution strategies.
- Support the Project Development Regional Director in developing and tracking project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and priorities.
- Monitor key development milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items and drive timely resolution of issues.
- Interface with local stakeholders, consultants, agencies, utilities, and other external parties on project development matters.
- Coordinate closely
- with Data Center Construction, Development, Land & Real Estate, Community Development, Permitting, Engineering, Capital Markets, and other internal teams.
- Manage task orders and consultant activities in support of the Powered Land Projects team.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication across development workstreams to support project execution and decision-making.
- ### Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in project development, project management, environmental/permitting, land acquisition, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of overall professional experience.
- Strong drive to shape and deliver transformative, large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated tenacity, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple development workstreams, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to review project agreements, contracts, schedules, budgets, and development documentation and identify key actions and risks.
- Strong sense of ownership over individual contributions and overall team success.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Ability to work primarily on-site at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Piketon, Ohio.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
- ### Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the energy, power generation, data center, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure development projects.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, governmental requirements, permitting processes, and market considerations affecting project development in Ohio.
- Experience with land acquisition, easements, rights-of-way, site control, title, and related real estate matters.
- Familiarity with utility interconnection and infrastructure development processes.
- Experience coordinating with local communities, government agencies, utilities, consultants, landowners, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong desire to learn and leverage existing experience to support the development of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
