The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical and electrical components and subassemblies for large Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. This role ensures that all mechanical assemblies meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and safety requirements of the GUTOR Systems
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components, frames, enclosures, and structural parts for large UPS systems according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Install hardware, brackets, and fasteners using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Fit and align parts to ensure proper function and structural integrity.
- Responsible for in-process quality control
Quality & Compliance
- Inspect parts and assemblies for defects, alignment, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform torque checks and verify tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures.
Additional Duties
- Administrative processing of the systems documents
- Proactive in the domains of Health & Safety 5S
- Participate and eventually lead daily team meetings ( SIM1)
Documentation & reporting
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams.
- Complete assembly logs, quality checklists, and production reports accurately.
Collaboration
- Work closely with electrical assemblers and test technicians to integrate mechanical and electrical components.
- Communicate issues or discrepancies to supervisors and engineering teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in industrial or power systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods.
- The position is not eligible for employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluency in Spanish.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to electrical components, machinery, and occasional heavy lifting.
- Requires use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
WHAT WE OFFER
- The salary range for this position is $24.00-$27.00 USD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. Overtime may be required based on business and production needs.
