How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Oversees decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments using Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards.
- Oversees and completes preparation of all case carts as required by following local inventory standards.
- Evaluates and documents quality assurance program findings and coaches team toward improving regular audit outcomes. Focuses on productivity standards and quality workflow metrics.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
### What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s): One or more of the following: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
