Avis Budget Group is seeking a driven, results-oriented Key Account Executive to join our Mid-Market Commercial Sales team in Los Angeles .

As our Commercial Sales organization evolves, we're taking a more specialized, strategic approach to account management, focused on strengthening customer partnerships, protecting existing business, and driving profitable growth.

The Key Account Executive will be responsible for managing and growing an established portfolio of commercial accounts. This role requires someone who can go beyond maintaining customer relationships to proactively identify business opportunities, develop account strategies, and deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, analytical, and self-motivated professional who takes ownership of their business, understands what drives customer performance, and knows how to turn opportunities into results.

What You'll Do

Portfolio Management & Profitable Growth:

- Own, manage, and grow an assigned portfolio of mid-market commercial accounts, delivering against revenue, retention, and profitability objectives
- Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on protecting existing business, increasing share of wallet, and identifying incremental revenue opportunities
- Analyze account performance, rental trends, customer behavior, and market conditions to identify opportunities and potential risks
- Prioritize accounts and business opportunities based on growth potential, performance, and overall business impact
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing customer partnerships and drive sustainable, profitable growth

Customer Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across customer organizations
- Serve as a trusted business partner, understanding customer needs and recommending transportation and mobility solutions that support their business objectives
- Lead strategic business reviews, presenting account performance, identifying opportunities, and developing actionable plans for continued growth
- Manage contract renewals and commercial negotiations while balancing customer needs, competitive positioning, and profitability
- Proactively address customer concerns and coordinate internal resources to ensure effective resolution and long-term customer satisfaction

Strategic Execution & Collaboration:

- Partner with Pricing, Marketing, Operations, Sales Support, and other internal teams to execute account strategies and deliver business results
- Identify customer challenges, remove barriers to growth, and coordinate solutions that improve the overall customer experience.
- Monitor competitive activity, changing customer needs, and emerging business opportunities within the Los Angeles market
- Take ownership of account strategies and execution, ensuring consistent follow-through on commitments and business objectives

Business Analytics & Performance:

- Leverage Salesforce, reporting platforms, and available sales-enablement tools to monitor account performance, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate forecasts
- Use data and business insights to develop customer recommendations and make informed commercial decisions
- Track key performance indicators, identify performance gaps, and implement strategies to improve account results
- Maintain accurate account records, customer activity, growth plans, and opportunity pipelines

What We're Looking For

Experience & Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in B2B account management, key account management, commercial sales, or a related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated experience managing, retaining, and growing an existing portfolio of business accounts
- Proven ability to identify growth opportunities, develop account strategies, and deliver measurable business results
- Experience with contract negotiations, customer business reviews, and relationship management
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
- Experience with Tableau, business intelligence tools, or AI-enabled sales technology is a plus
- Experience in transportation, travel, mobility, rental services, or related industries is beneficial but not required
- Ability to travel throughout the Los Angeles market and periodically outside the market as business needs require

- Adaptability: Embraces change, new technologies, and evolving business strategies

The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,0000 – $85,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
