Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Associate Vice President, Retail and Consumer Solutions on a permanent basis on our Technology team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Canada .

The AVP, Retail and Consumer Solutions provides strategic leadership for the technology ecosystem supporting retail operations, customer engagement, digital channels, and e-commerce across the CRS, while navigating complex stakeholder needs and guiding technology modernization that delivers value across diverse business lines. What you’ll do:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction for a team of Org Leaders and 60+ IT professionals to ensure that the technology needs for all local Co-op operations and customer touchpoints are met.
- Maintain system and workforce capacity plans, including full-time and contract resources, to ensure the effective delivery of technology projects and services.
- Establish and drive short- and long-term technology transformation goals that enhance retail and consumer technology capabilities while delivering continuous service improvement and operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Lead the delivery and optimization of a $50M+ retail and consumer technology portfolio, balancing both business transformation and operational sustainment initiatives while aligning investments to strategic priorities.
- Play a critical role in the technology lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and the evaluation of new solutions to ensure reliable, efficient systems that support current and future business needs.

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will work with the Director, Retails Solutions, and the Director, Digital Commerce & Solutions, will have 3 direct report(s) and will report into the Vice President of Technology. This team fosters a culture of strategic leadership, collaboration, and adaptability, working across diverse business units and stakeholder groups to deliver innovative technology solutions while navigating complex operational and local Co-op priorities.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Technology business unit and collaborate with senior leaders across FCL, local Co-ops, external partners, technology vendors, and service providers.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:

- 15+ years of progressive work experience in IT, with demonstrated leadership in areas related to applications, as well as retail infrastructure.
- Have a University Degree in Computer Science or related fields (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Direct experience leading retail technology is required, including demonstrated ability to navigate complex customer and political environments through periods of transformative change.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.
- Have exceptional communication skills, capable of building trusted relationships, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and leading teams through transformation are considered assets.
