What You’ll Do

General Production employees will work with hand tools, knives, machinery and other equipment to process meat products for the consumer. These positions can be physically demanding and require good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Production team members must be able to work their scheduled shift and may be required to work overtime depending on production demands.

Job Description

1. Interpret company policies to employees and enforce safety regulations. / Interpretar las políticas de la empresa a los empleados y hacer cumplir las normas de seguridad.

2. Monitor employees for conformance to good manufacturing practices (GMPs). / Supervisar a los empleados para que cumplan con las buenas prácticas de fabricación (GMP).

3. Maintain department time and production records and ensure accuracy. Including label verification, code date checks, slice counts, correct materials, rack tags. / Mantenga los registros de tiempo y producción del departamento y garantice la precisión. 4. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving problems.  Initiate and/or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve department goals. / Analice y resuelva problemas de trabajo, o ayude a los empleados a resolver problemas. 5. Teach, train, and improve line operators and general labor employees to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.  Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department and/or production crew. / Enseñar, capacitar y mejorar los operadores de línea y los empleados de mano de obra general para mejorar los métodos de producción, el rendimiento del equipo y la calidad del producto. 6. Direct setup/teardown and adjustments of equipment. / Montaje/desmontaje directo y ajustes de equipos.

7. Assist with employee training / operator training. / Asistir con la capacitación de los empleados / capacitation del operador.

8. Reports to supervisor and assist with operation oversight.

9. Bilingual preferred.
