The Monster Minders is hiring a Dog Walker in Society Hill and Old City .

If you enjoy being outside, working independently, and getting to know the dogs who make every block more interesting, this could be your kind of workday.

You’ll visit established clients, learn their dogs’ routines, and become someone they count on. You’ll also have a team behind you, with paid training, office support, and coworkers who understand the work.

The Job at a Glance

- Monday through Friday , typically between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM
- Most days include 8 to 12 dog walks
- An active workday with 5 to 6 hours of walking
- A consistent weekday schedule with established clients
- Outdoor work year-round, including heat, rain, and snow

Dog walking professionally takes stamina, patience, and good judgment. Philadelphia weather will occasionally test all three.

What You’ll Do

- Give dogs safe, attentive, one-on-one walks
- Follow each client’s care and home-entry instructions
- Travel between clients’ homes throughout the day
- Handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels
- Write thoughtful visit updates that keep clients informed
- Communicate questions, concerns, and changes to our office
- Participate in paid training and occasional paid staff meetings

What We’re Looking For

You’re reliable, comfortable making decisions independently, and attentive to the details. You understand that showing up on time, following instructions, and communicating clearly are essential when someone trusts you with their dog and home.

You’ll need:

- Monday through Friday availability during the hours listed above
- The stamina to comfortably walk 5 to 6 hours per day
- Strong written communication skills
- Professionalism and good time management
- Confidence handling dogs with a range of temperaments
- Reliable transportation between visits, such as a bike, scooter, motorcycle, or car
- Comfort working outdoors in every season
- A commitment to staying in the position for at least one year

Experience caring for dogs, working independently, or helping customers is a plus. Professional dog walking experience is especially welcome.
