Right now we are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to work with our Operating Room, Surgical Program.
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Operating Room Location: Humber River Hospital – Wilson Site Hours of work: Must be available for all rotating shifts including weekends Union: Non-Union Hiring Salary Range: $68,714.10 - $85,948.20
Position Responsibilities:
- While adhering to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, oversee the physical and record management of all inventory within the operating room.
- Review the warehouse inventory using a combination of protocols including the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and physical counts.
- Check accuracy of data in Warehouse Management System (WMS) against the client’s records and investigate and resolve any discrepancies, informing clients and management of findings.
- Using a variety of material-handling equipment, perform physical counts (once yearly) and cycle counts as required by the operating room, including routine audits or to resolve a problem.
- Monitoring expiry dates of inventory supplies.
- Responsible for rotating dated stock items.
- Maintaining supplies carts in an orderly fashion; supply cart build and design.
- Collaborate to problem solve and recommend solutions.
- Receive delivery of direct purchases from the shipping / receiving department and record and reconcile daily activities in conjunction with CSA Standard (Z314.15-10).
- Processing returns for the operating room.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers.
- Ensure vendors adhere to delivery schedules, price commitment, and quality expectations
- Coordinates with vendors, purchasing team, materials management and Steripro (reprocessing team) for instrumentation, loaner systems and orders.
- Source new material in coordination with key team members.
- Obtains quotes from vendors and source new material requests.
- Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve invoicing and pricing issues.
- Track implant invoices and all Purchase Orders issued to vendors and suppliers.
- Participate in manual inventory counts and audits as required.
- Document all issues, evaluates, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for improvement, and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum one year experience using Meditech 6 required.
- Minimum two years recent Hospital inventory control experience required.Proven knowledge of the warehousing, storage and transportation of clean and sterile medical and surgical products is required (CSA Z314.15-10).
- Basic MS Office – Excel & Word knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Humber warehouse management systems preferred.
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma lean preferred.
- Computer experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Hands on transactional experience in the sup[ply chain for operating room supplies
- Order replenishment experience.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to multi-task and handle challenges under pressure and within limited timeframes.
- A positive attendance record required.
- Ability to work both, independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good basic math skills is mandatory (Math test will be administered).
- Demonstrated ability to focus on small details of transactions.
- Good physical condition for constant heavy lifting and moving of sterile supply equipment/supplies.
