Albright Pharmacy is located on the Asbury Methodist Village campus, in Gaithersburg, MD.  The Pharmacy Returns Technician - PT is part of the team that allows Asbury residents to enjoy convenient prescription pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications right on the campus where they reside. The role assists with maintaining compliance for both the dispensing pharmacy and the long-term care facilities that we service through processing return medications for credit and/or destruction. PART -TIME   OPPORTUNITY

Compensation Starting at $19.00 per hour

Job Description

- Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in accordance with State and Federal Laws, processes return medications from the facilities we service for credit and/or destruction and assists with other daily tasks as directed.
- Effectively operates the Pharmacy computer system to ensure timely and accurate returns documentation and processing.
- Under the supervision of a pharmacist, coordinate pickup of medications for destruction from third party vendors and/or other regulatory means
- Accurately maintains inventory, returns appropriately credited products back into the pharmacy inventory, and assists with semi-annual pharmacy physical inventory.

Qualifications

- High School diploma or its equivalent.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician/data entry technician with good working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders preferred.
- Proficient computer skills necessary for data entry, reporting, including documentation and billing.  An ideal candidate would have experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system and have some exposure to Pharmacy Automation (i.e. TCGRx, Pyxis, etc.)
- Experience handling and documenting returned medical products from serviced facility back to the pharmacy
- Must possess a valid Maryland Board of Pharmacy technician license and/or national pharmacy technician certification
- Preferrable to possess a valid Maryland driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
