The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to develop and test innovative applications and technologies, which will enable a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet the requirements of a mission critical force protection system. The chosen engineer is responsible for designing and developing automated testing for software architectures in a cloud-based RF environment. This role involves adhering to technical standards, engineering for quality and ensuring the seamless integration of software and components with complex RF solutions. The Software Engineer will work closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-performance, reliable RF system simulation system. The Software Engineer will communicate risks and opportunities with the program executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for helping ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our system. In this role, you will design and develop applications, create interfaces, create and execute test plans, identify defects, collaborate closely with other developers, and develop a continuous improvement plan for our testing processes. You will work across manual and automated testing, balance thoroughness with delivery timelines, and help raise the overall quality bar.

Qualifications:
Required:

- Must be a US citizen and have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligability
- 3+ years of software engineering experience is required and Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Bruno, Postman.
- Exposure to API testing and related tools.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Linux.
- Experience with acceptance testing, functional testing, and API testing.
- Strong documentation skills: manual test cases, test procedures, requirements verification traceability matrices (RVTM), and test plans.
- Proficient in GitLab, Jenkins or similar CI/CD workflow processes.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.

Desired:

- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with requirements and specifications.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress or similar.
- Execute both manual and automated tests, including acceptance, functional, regression, and API.
- Identify, document, track, verify defects, provide clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and severity assessments.
- Analyze test outcomes, report findings, and deliver actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of applications, test automation frameworks, increasing.
- Experience with the Python, Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, ArgoCD
- Prioritize development and testing activities to balance quality assurance with project timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain thorough documentation of test artifacts, results, and quality metrics.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
