Job Purpose:

- We are seeking a responsible H&S Specialist to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental policies and guidelines.

- Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

- Vigilance in identifying violations is crucial.

- The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who strictly adheres to Health, Safety, and Environmental laws and regulations.

- Your focus will be on preventive measures, requiring attentiveness and proactive thinking.

- Detail orientation is essential, especially during emergencies.

- Your objective is to establish a workplace that meets legal safety standards and cultivates a culture of prioritizing health, safety, and environment.

- The H&S Specialist – Nursery H&S advises and assists in the implementation and monitoring of the H&S strategy and management within the subsidiary..

Job Responsibilities:

- Compile safety programs.

- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and standardize H&S to remain consistent.

- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.

- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards, and recommend appropriate control measures.

- Support for development job safety analysis or risk assessment and review.

- Initiate, organize, and perform H&S trainings of employees, contractors, and visitors.

- Conduct regular staff meetings and promote safety culture by encouraging safe work practices and recognizing employees who follow safety guidelines.

- Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority.

- Develop and implement emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.

- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.

- Prepare reports on occurrences, compile & maintain relevant registers, and provide statistical information to reporting manager and/or his/her immediate superior.

- Promote a positive safety culture by fostering employee engagement, recognition, and continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Experience:

- Proven experience as H&S Professional.

- Enthusiasm and attention to detail always.

- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EMS, Saudi Arabia’s HSE, COSHH, Confined Space, Lifting Operations, Excavations) and HSE procedures.

- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.

- Experience in writing reports and policies/guidelines for health, safety, and environment.

- Good communication skills to explain safety procedures and regulations clearly and concisely.

- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.

- Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.

- Outstanding organizational skills.

- Diligent with great attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present, and explain health, safety, and environment topics.

- Certificate in occupational health, safety, and environment.

- Constructions or Operations work scopes, at least two (3) years relevant experience

- NEBOSH IGC

- Emergency drills

- Fire Fighting

- First Aid

- Occupational Health

- Report Preparation

- Safety Audit

- Safety Training

- Saudi Council of Engineers, preferred.
