Role Overview

The Asset Control Mgr is responsible for overseeing asset and inventory control activities, supporting production and project teams with timely material availability, and maintaining accurate records across receiving, storage, counts, shipping, and disposition. This role combines hands-on warehouse oversight with cross-functional coordination and continuous process improvement.

What will you do?

- Lead asset, inventory, and material control processes to support operations and delivery performance.
- Manage daily material support, expediting, prioritization, and supply issue resolution.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, shipping, and outside processing inventory movement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
- Monitor on-hand stock, investigate discrepancies, and drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Supply Planning on capacity requirements planning and scheduling accuracy.
- Partner with Procurement on material cost reduction and supplier planning.
- Support excess and obsolete inventory disposition.
- Collaborate with operations, project teams, engineers, and field teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Use warehouse and inventory systems to track transactions, maintain documentation, and support reporting.

- Own inventory accuracy and asset control with accountability, safety, and integrity.
- Stay close to the work by understanding daily warehouse, receiving, and production needs and removing obstacles quickly.
- Use structured problem-solving and continuous improvement to reduce discrepancies, improve flow, and strengthen planning accuracy.
- Work as one team with Procurement, Supply Planning, Supplier Quality, Operations, and warehouse colleagues to keep materials moving.
- Communicate clearly and act quickly when shortages, delays, or quality issues could affect service or production.

What are we looking for?

- Experience in materials operations, supply chain, warehouse management, inventory control, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and material flow in support of operations or production.
- Experience coordinating scheduling, expediting materials, and resolving supply disruptions.
- Strong knowledge of cycle counts, physical inventories, receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes.
- Experience partnering with Procurement, Supply Planning, Supplier Quality, and operations teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage records, transaction detail, and inventory documentation accurately.
- Experience using warehouse management systems, inventory management systems, or ERP tools.

Nice to Have

- Experience with excess and obsolete inventory management.
- Background in outside processing inventory movement.
- Experience supporting project-based, field, or manufacturing operations.
- Exposure to warehouse process improvement or physical inventory program leadership.
