About this role
Description
Lead a frontline team that keeps Amazon's promise to customers — one shift at a time.
As an Area Manager at our Stockton, CA site, you own a shift and a team — you'll directly shape how millions of customer orders move safely, accurately, and on time. This isn't a desk job; it's a leadership proving ground where your decisions have same-day impact and your team looks to you to set the tone.
Our Operations network delivers for Amazon customers every day across three major workflows: First Mile (where product is housed and ready for order), Middle Mile (where the order is hauled to your area), and Last Mile (when the product is delivered to the customer's door). All workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our dedication to the customer.
What you'll gain
You'll run a shift in a fast-paced, high-volume operation where your leadership directly drives results. This is hands-on experience you can't get just anywhere: leading people, driving process improvement, and building operational expertise that's valued across the industry. You'll sharpen skills in people leadership, data-driven decision-making, safety and quality management, and continuous improvement — the kind of operational foundation that opens doors throughout your career.
