Compensation: $101,000-$150,000, based on experience
Position Overview
Xerox is seeking a highly knowledgeable Logistics Supplier Relationship Manager with expertise in supply chain operations, transportation, warehousing, and contract negotiations. This individual contributor will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and identify opportunities to significantly reduce supply chain costs through category management, supplier negotiations, and supply chain transformation.
The ideal candidate has extensive transportation and logistics purchasing experience, strong commercial and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions and regions to deliver measurable business results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead strategic sourcing activities across transportation and logistics categories, including truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), parcel, air freight, ocean freight, third-party logistics (3PL), and warehousing.
- Support and initiate supply chain pooling opportunities that leverage the combined scale and capabilities of Xerox and Lexmark.
- Negotiate, develop, and manage contracts with external suppliers.
- Deliver measurable financial savings on intermediate, complex, and strategic transactions while securing terms and conditions that protect Xerox’s interests.
- Develop strong partnerships with technology, business, procurement, and legal stakeholders.
- Gather and define project requirements and translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate best-in-class pricing, service levels, and contractual terms with suppliers.
- Research relevant markets, transactions, and suppliers and present sourcing recommendations to senior management.
- Define project goals and objectives and track and report on project status, risks, savings, and outcomes.
- Lead proposal development and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to support sourcing decisions.
- Prepare thorough supporting documentation and present findings and recommendations to management.
- Identify ongoing opportunities for continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Monitor transportation and logistics industry trends, market conditions, and pricing.
- Facilitate regular supplier business reviews covering performance, systemic issues, improvement initiatives, sourcing process changes, and relationship management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and globally with stakeholders at varying levels of management to achieve business objectives.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Five or more years of relevant transportation and logistics purchasing, sourcing, or business experience.
- Strong industry knowledge across transportation, logistics, warehousing, and third-party service providers.
- Thorough understanding of standard contracting and negotiation practices.
- Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, project management, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation.
- Ability to work effectively with professionals and managers across internal departments and external organizations.
- Excellent listening, written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Experience working cross-functionally and globally to deliver business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with procurement and enterprise resource planning systems, including SAP Ariba or comparable platforms.
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes and systems.
- Experience with procurement processing and reporting tools, including business intelligence spend analytics, productivity tracking, supplier payment terms, e-sourcing, and supplier risk assessment.
- Demonstrated success delivering cost savings through category management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain transformation.
