About this job:

Works regionally in secondary schools to support the Career and College Success (CCS) of students who would benefit from greater 1:1 support in this area through career-focused mentoring. Works directly with school's Pathway Director, Counselors, and College and Technical Education (CTE)/CareerConnect (CC) teachers to recruit students and support the facilitation of the monthly sessions designed to build upon the Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP), foster greater career identity and exploration, and determine the best path forward for career and college success and will provide ongoing case management for participating youth. Additionally, collaborates with other community mentor organizations to provide necessary resources/training aligned to career and college success and ensure appropriate support of district students in need.

What You'll Do:

Student Recruitment & Case Management

- Recruit and case-manage student participants for the Coach Mentoring Program, prioritizing equitable access for underrepresented student populations.

- Identify students needing additional college and career readiness support and provide targeted outreach and guidance.

- Refer students to alternative community-based mentoring programs when appropriate.

- Target Coach program recruitment to underrepresented populations to ensure equitable access to CCS opportunities.

- Eliminate over/undersaturation of community mentor partners by monitoring student participation and improve representation of DPS graduation requirements and student career and college planning

Mentor Recruitment & Relationship Management

- Identify, recruit, and help train adult professional mentors who will foster students' career identity and college/career planning.

- Lead and finalize mentor/mentee matches for regional Coach cohorts.

- Support partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, helping eliminate over- or undersaturation of partner resources across schools.

- Coordinate regional Coach cohort logistics (ie. food, expenditures for equipment and supplies, bus scheduling, master calendar scheduling, evaluation materials, permission packets and other pertinent paperwork, mentoring session planning using pre-developed curriculum activities, work site and college visits, business partner and student surveys, track student incentives and work-readiness assessments). Lead and finalize Mentor/mentee matches for Coach cohort(s) and facilitate the large group Coach mentor training and cohort content (activities/curriculum) with student and adult learners.

Program Facilitation & Event Logistics

- Facilitate large-group mentor training and run cohort mentoring sessions using pre-developed Coach curriculum activities.

- Integrate Advanced Pathway advisement into student curriculum and mentor training materials.

- Coordinate all cohort logistics for 5 to 6 cohorts spread across three DPS High Schools: including work site and college visits, event space, catering, equipment, communication with all stakeholders involved, permission packets, and transportation (bus scheduling).

Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement

- Serve as the primary liaison between school staff, business partners, and central leadership to ensure program continuity and alignment with district graduation requirements.

- Advocate for Career and College Success (CCS) programs by delivering presentations, distributing marketing collateral, and representing CCS at school and community events.

Data Tracking, Reporting & Evaluation

- Track student and mentor attendance, work-readiness assessments, and incentives in district data systems.

- Administer business partner and student surveys, compiling findings into progress reports for district leadership.

- Maintain open communication with the CCS Leadership Team to share feedback, assess outcomes, and drive continuous program improvement.

What You’ll Need:

- Bachelor's Degree required

- Master's Degree preferred

- 2+ year(s) of relevant experience

- Spanish bilingual preferred
