What You Will Be Doing

This position is required to provide sustainment support of the Aero Apriso Pathfinder (AAP) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on the shop floor and to execute the ongoing development, testing, and integration of MES capabilities that resolve technical manufacturing problems and enable the next generation of production operations. Candidates must be able to investigate and gather information concerning the technical capabilities of the AAP MES and related production operations systems, and stay abreast of developments in Apriso and complementary shop floor technologies that may be used to improve existing fabrication, assembly, and inspection processes. This position will require good communication skills to be able to analyze shop floor user problems, triage and resolve production-impacting issues, design new MES capabilities within the current framework, coordinate solutions for manufacturing digital transformation, communicate requirements to information technology architects, and present solutions to functional core process owners.

The candidate will support the successful completion of major AAP releases and enhancements. The candidate will contribute directly to capability development, authoring and executing test scripts, and performing functional, regression, and user acceptance testing of the system prior to deployment to production.

The Manufacturing Systems Applications Engineer will be an integral part of a cross-organizational team of experts supporting the sustainment and continuous improvement of the AAP MES and its integrations with the broader production operations toolset. Participate in the development, documentation, training, and deployment of new Production Operations Business Processes associated with AAP capabilities and enhancements, and provide day-to-day sustainment support to shop floor users to ensure system availability, data integrity, and manufacturing execution continuity.

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products; investigates the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
* Experience supporting a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in a production or sustainment role
* Experience authoring and executing test scripts (functional, regression, and/or user acceptance testing)
* Experience gathering requirements from end users and translating them into system capabilities or configuration changes
* Understanding of shop floor operations, routings, work instructions, quality inspections, and non-conformance processes

Desired Skills

* Direct experience with Dassault Systèmes Apriso
* Familiarity with Apriso Process Builder
* Experience with MES integrations to ERP (SAP), PLM, and shop floor data collection systems
* Working knowledge of the Siemens Xcelerator and/or Dassault 3DX tool suites
* Experience with SQL, relational databases, and reading application/system logs for troubleshooting
* Experience utilizing Agile tools such as Jira
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with shop floor users, IT architects, and functional core process owners.
* Ability to troubleshoot production-impacting issues and drive them to resolution

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

* For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
